Synopsis[]
Tom looked very tired and nervous. He kept talking about his adventures and repeated failures in his search for gold. A beautiful gold emerald ring on his hand took my fancy. When we sat down on the bench near the house, he put his hands to his face and said it's all over for him: someone had stolen all his supplies and tools.
